An ADSAC (Assessment, Screening, and Referral) assessment is a required alcohol and drug evaluation used by Oklahoma courts and Service Oklahoma to determine what type of alcohol or drug education, treatment, or other services are appropriate for an individual charged with a DUI, DUI-D, APC or Possession.

During your appointment, a certified ADSAC assessor reviews your background, conducts a clinical interview, administers approved screening instruments, and determines the level of intervention required under Oklahoma guidelines.

The assessment typically takes approximately 2 hours to complete.

What Does an ADSAC Assessment Cover?

The assessment fee covers the evaluation itself, including:

An ADSAC assessment involves much more than the interview, aka asking you questions. Certified ADSAC assessors must meet educational, licensing, and specialized training requirements established by ODMHSAS.

They are also required to maintain certification, complete continuing education, use approved screening instruments, follow detailed state regulations, keep an extensive filing system of records, and satisfy ongoing administrative and reporting requirements.

The fee reflects the time, training, documentation, and regulatory requirements involved in performing an official Oklahoma ADSAC assessment, not simply the interview itself.

Is the Cost the Same Everywhere in Oklahoma?

Yes.

Because the fee is established by ODMHSAS, the cost of an ADSAC assessment is the same throughout Oklahoma.

Whether your assessment is completed in Broken Bow, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Lawton, Durant, Altus, Enid, or another Oklahoma community, the state ADSAC assessment fee remains:

• $160 for offenses occurring on or after November 1, 2008
